Architectural Technology & Construction Management focuses on the practical aspects of building, from selecting materials to managing construction processes and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget. It combines technical knowledge with project leadership, overseeing the construction phase from start to finish.
In each project, the process starts with exploring various construction solutions and materials, evaluating how each option aligns with the project’s goals. After carefully selecting the most suitable materials and methods, the next step is designing the construction, ensuring it meets both functional requirements and sustainability standards.

The project focused on designing a modern Scandinavian-style, two-storey single-family house with a full basement, prioritizing natural materials, clean lines, and sustainability. The process began with analyzing the client’s preferred concepts, selecting and refining a proposal that balanced aesthetic appeal with technical feasibility. Key design elements included a sloped roof, a combination of wood and brick facades, and spaces optimized for functionality and natural light.
Technical execution involved integrating district heating, mechanical ventilation, and radon mitigation strategies while adhering to BR2018 and local by-laws. The design development utilized hand sketches, digital tools, and collaborative BIM workflows in Revit, with documentation managed on Autodesk Construction Cloud. The result is a thoughtful fusion of modern design, environmental responsibility, and technical precision.

This project involved the technical development of a multifunctional sports hall with an attached office building, designed for the municipality of Horsens. Building on the architects' initial outline, we advanced the design by providing detailed technical plans and specifications for authorities and contractors.
The sports hall featured prefabricated concrete panels for external, internal wall, and roof elements, ensuring durability and efficiency. The attached office and outdoor corridor were designed using timber prefabricated wall and roof elements, offering a warm, sustainable contrast to the concrete structure.
The initial design and renders were created using Rhino, D5 Render, and AutoCAD, providing a strong visual and conceptual foundation. For subsequent project phases, we transitioned to Revit and leveraged Revit Collaborative Cloud for efficient teamwork and precise documentation. As part of a simulated contractor role, we developed a comprehensive technical booklet detailing the production, assembly, and mounting of wall elements.
This project also introduced us to the various participants in a construction project, offering valuable insight into the collaborative processes between designers, contractors, and authorities.
